From the HOME Desk of Mary Lippert, CRE:
I hope our families are remaining healthy and finding inventive ways to enjoy time together. Praying together is essential. You and your family are The Domestic Church, which means the home is where we first learn who God is and to prayerfully seek His will for us. Through prayer and example from the parents and grandparents, our children learn and strengthen their own relationship with God. While you are together at home try to implement a new habit in your home. Here are some suggestions: Have at least one family meal together around the table EACH DAY. Pray a Family Rosary. Hang a crucifix in a prominent place in the home. Have the whole family participate in televised or online Mass. Use some Children’s and Teen’s Liturgical Resources. The challenges of switching from seeing the children and their families to online contact have pushed me out of my comfort zone. Technology is becoming my friend. On Wednesdays, the junior high and high school classes will be meeting online to enjoy some face time together. While our younger children are also enjoying some online time as well and receiving calls from their PSR teachers. You continue to be lifted in prayer as we continue this journey together.
